Frequently Asked Questions
How effective is chiropractic treatment?
The effectiveness of chiropractic care depends on the condition, how long it has existed, and how often the treatment
occurs. It can effectively treat lower back pain, headaches, and neck pain. Consult a primary care physician and see
if your condition may be eligible for chiropractic treatment.
What are the risks of chiropractic treatment?
There is risk in every medical procedure. Chiropractic care has little to no adverse risks to overall health or
worsening conditions. However, if a patient has a “red flag” condition, such as inflammatory diseases or severe
osteoporosis, they should communicate their medical history with us to see if they are eligible for specific
chiropractic treatment to avoid further injury or discomfort.
Is chiropractic care for younger patents painful?
Chiropractic adjustment is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. We use minimal force and
gentle pressure for our patients' comfort and safety. Most younger patients feel immediate relief following
treatment. While they may experience minimal soreness, it typically resolves in a day or two.
I’m pregnant and have severe discomfort in my back. Can I receive treatment?
Yes. Chiropractic care can relieve pain in your back, hips, and other areas during pregnancy. It can lower delivery
time, pain, and the need for a C-section. Our chiropractors can work with doulas, midwives, and ob-gyns to help make
your pregnancy and birthing plan as comfortable as possible.
Does insurance cover chiropractic care?
The short answer is yes. Insurance coverage can vary from policy to policy. Most major insurance companies do cover
chiropractic care but may require a co-payment. We will walk you through your insurance policy to determine if your
treatment plan is covered.
